Sandestin Day 1

We took our summer family vacation to Sandestin, Fl, this year courtesy of my most generous Dad and had a blast. We left Jackson and headed down to Mobile, AL, for the night so we could get up early and be in Destin early the next day. I was praying for a good night, but we were off to a rocky start. The first night it was just Caroline, Hayes, my dad, Kayla (our babysitter) and myself. The kids didn't sleep a bit and Hayes cried most of the night. Later I found out that Kayla sent a text to her mom asking for prayers---oh my life!!! Things started looking up the next day...which I will call 'Day 1'.

We arrived at the Sandestin resort and our room was ready, thankfully. We finished checking in and Kayla left to pick up the other babysitter, Elizabeth. Tricia (my sister), her husband, Pat, and their little girl, Grace all met up with us and we played for a bit before dinner.

We decided we would hit Poppy's for dinner. The kids had a BLAST dancing with the band and it kept them fully entertained. They actually ate pretty well and Caroline was not happy she had to stop dancing to eat.

Troy finally made it down and met us for dinner. Caroline was so excited to see him & kept giving him kisses----his heart melted! Once we all settled in for the night, the kids actually slept well and we were FINALLY off to a great vacation!
