We have been constantly cleaning over the last few days and the kids love to help. They were both feeling better last night and Hayes decided the kitchen needed to be swept. Here is the sequence of events that took place last night and that takes place on a daily basis. They constantly bicker over things, Caroline wins and Hayes gets over it. However, I feel things will change in about a year when Hayes is able to really fight back.
Here is how a fight looks at our house (yes, I was policing as I was taking photos---it was too funny not to capture)....
Hayes got the broom and started sweeping.
Caroline took the broom and Hayes started crying.
Hayes is quietly plotting how he will get her back when he is older and bigger (because he knows he will be bigger). He waits patiently. She did finally let him help her sweep---so sweet since it was his idea anyway!
They are so funny together and we figure they will be good friends or good enemies....we are thinking more like enemies for a while, but we'll see :)
