2012 Yazoo Fair...

 We have friends that go to the Yazoo County Fair every year and have raved about how fun and small it was compared to the State Fair. Well we decided to check it out for ourselves. We took a pic of the entire fair from the Ferris Wheel. Yep, that is it. It was awesome. You pay a small fee to get in and then you ride all the rides you want. The kids were loving it. It opened at 6 and we left around 10. We tried to leave earlier but when talking to friends, we were not warned about parking. We parked in a spot where we should have been able to pull forward to get out. Well.....at this fair, anywhere you park is fair parking. We were completely locked in with a car in front, two on the side and three cars behind us. Troy kept calm but I was tired, grumpy and ready to get the kiddos {but mostly myself} to bed. Now that we know how parking works, I have a feeling we'll be back next year.

Nana's Garden

My mom has been growing tomatoes this season and the kids couldn't wait to pick the first ones. After VBS this past week, we headed over and Hayes, Caroline & Katherine got to each pick a tomato.
Oh the excitement! Caroline will actually eat one. Hayes won't touch one with a fork even if bribed (he's very much my child!). They are both loving the process of growing plants-too bad I kill every single plant I own! No fun at our house. So Nana, thanks for letting us pick your tomatoes. They loved it.

Love

I was packing up for us to leave the pool, winds were strong & we were trying to beat the rain when I look up to see this. I didn't care if I got soaking wet by the rain-I had to capture this sweet, unprompted moment. LOVE

Meet Emily

I met her in the 4th grade at Presbyterian Christian School in Hattiesburg. We were instant friends. Thankfully we have the kind of friendship that has lasted since the 4th grade. Elementary school, high school, college, working at a summer camp as counselors, weddings, marriage and now motherhood~I just love friendship. And here is Emily heading off to Colombia~like, Bogota, Colombia. Not Memphis, not Charlotte, not San Francisco....BOGOTA, COLOMBIA!
Why you ask? Great question! Emily will tell you in her own words on her blog & it's worth the read. Every.Single.Word. Her entire blog is honest and HILARIOUS, so be sure to check it all out. If nothing else, read the first post you see on the blog. If you have ever had a heart for what she is talking about, or if you haven't ever given it much thought or prayer, start now....check it out~you'll see what I'm talking about :)

 I am thankful for my sweet friend. Thankful for her faithfulness. Faithfulness to her Lord, her family and her friends. I am blessed to be your friend. Thank you for laughing with me more hours than I can count, forgiving me for more than I deserve and always picking up right where we left off~the sign of a true~stand the test of time friendship. Much Love My Friend...{more pics to come when I learn how to use the silly scanner!!!}

Sweet Seven

Caroline is seven today and it was a wonderfully busy day. These last seven years have been far more amazing, trying, exciting, humorous and wonderful than I could have ever prayed for. This tall girl is my heart & she has certainly stolen her daddy's! Life has not been the same since 2005, and I am so thankful-Caroline is such a gift from the Lord! Happy Birthday, my sweet girl. Love you to the moon and back.

Where Does It Go???

Where is the time going??? They are just growing far too quickly for me...

New Orleans Wedding Bells

New Orleans, LA, was the perfect backdrop for our friends Nicki and Mark to enter into the covenant of marriage. These pictures are just a few from their wonderful weekend. They have been together for so long and this was truly a celebration of their life together. They are such an example to others of selflessness and as Mark's dad said, he hopes they continue to bear fruit; the fruit of the Spirit: Love, Joy, Peace, Patience, Kindness, Gentleness, Faithfulness & Self-Control. What wonderful examples you both are of this already and seeing your friends and family surround you both on the weekend of your wedding was such a testimony to your faithfulness and kindness to others. Praying for you both and for your marriage. Cherish one another, love one another, but honor and love the Lord more. Cherish Him more. Oh, what a blessing marriage is, sweet friends.
